Do you provide free in-person estimates?

Accepted Answer

We do not offer free in-person estimates. For most projects, we book a professional assessment so a trained professional can inspect the work, take measurements, review access, document photos, identify materials/specs, and explain the best path forward. You leave with useful details and a written recommendation, even if the project is not ready to move ahead that day. The assessment fee reserves professional time on site, and if you approve the project, $49 of your $99 assessment fee is credited toward the final quote.

Do you handle larger renovations or custom builds?

Yes. We handle larger refreshes and custom projects when they fit our scope. Our team brings more than 30 years of construction management experience across residential and commercial projects, so we understand how to define scope, sequence work, coordinate trades, and manage timelines before construction begins. These projects usually start with a professional assessment so we can document measurements, materials, access, and timing before giving a fixed-price proposal. When licensed specialty work is required, we coordinate with licensed partners or subcontractors.

How do you charge for your services?

Most work is quoted at a fixed price before we start. Some troubleshooting or specialty trade work may be quoted in service blocks when the scope cannot be confirmed upfront.

Is Shore Handyman licensed and insured?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your Shore Handyman LLC is registered as a New Jersey Home Improvement Contractor (NJ HIC #13VH13193200) and is insured. When a project requires licensed specialty trade work, Shore Handyman coordinates with appropriately licensed and insured partners or subcontractors.

What payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

We accept major credit and debit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. When a balance is due, you can pay through our secure Stripe checkout. Eligible wallet options, such as Apple Pay or Link, may appear based on your device and browser.

What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

Accepted Answer

Assessment appointments are fully refundable if canceled or rescheduled at least 48 hours in advance. Appointments canceled within 48 hours may be subject to a $25 cancellation fee.

Start with the Service Menu. Add the projects you want handled to your project list. If every item is instant-book eligible, select your property town and continue to secure checkout. If the work requires review, you can book a professional assessment.
